I read numerous complains about the service. It's also the people who are incompetent. Also, the switch (belonging to Globelines/Innove) at our area is brand new if I'm not mistaken.

It really makes me wonder if we can compete with India.

Re: What’s the state of the nation’s telecom industry?

I do agreee....

It is easier to complain on our part but it is really hard to fix underground cables (mostly this is were the problem originates)

saka second hand lang naman ang mga ginagamit ng telcos sa philippines... yung mga pinaglumaan na ng ibang bansa. hehe. kaya mabilis masira,

Re: What’s the state of the nation’s telecom industry?

Yeah I'm aware of the link that got busted. But these ISPs can afford to get more servers for their proxies if they choose to take that route. It'll probably take only 200 accounts to buy a new server.

I guess this is really how it is with big companies. The execs will sacrifice the quality of service just to keep their bloated salaries. Hmmmm.. I would've done the same if I were in their position. Oh well.

Re: What’s the state of the nation’s telecom industry?

Lack of budget for new systems..

2 weeks ago almost every ISP in the country including Dial-up accounts had international link problems like what happened after the Taiwan Quake..

Overloaded...........
